Fall colors, part 2

Hello, November.  The sun is setting earlier each day and the leaves are dropping from the branches.  I’m sitting here wistfully thinking about the fall colors from our hikes over the past two weekends, trying to hold on to the last pieces of fall as winter quickly approaches.

We hiked Bear Mountain last Saturday.  It was our first time to the park and it was beautiful (hello, golden yellow leaves!). And also packed with people, think church group vans and family photo shoots.  I guess that’s what you get when you combine a place with a lovely view, an easily accessible road to the mountaintop lookout, and a location so close to New York City.  Long story short, we were underwhelmed by the trail, but overwhelmed by the beauty of the leaves.  So, with that, I leave you with these photos.  I hope you are also soaking up the last bits of fall.
